Bishop Primus’ Easter Greeting 2026

Bishop Primus writes…
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Grace, mercy, and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

On this joyful day of Easter, I write to greet you with the ancient and triumphant proclamation of the Church: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

At the heart of our faith stands the glorious truth of the Resurrection.

The stone has been rolled away, the tomb is empty, and death has been defeated. In the rising of our Lord Jesus Christ, we see not only the vindication of His suffering and sacrifice, but the sure promise of new life for all who trust in Him.

In a world so often marked by uncertainty, sorrow, and weariness, Easter speaks a word of unshakable hope. The risen Christ meets us in our fears and doubts, just as He met His first disciples, and He speaks peace. He calls us to live as people of the Resurrection—bearing witness to His light, His love, and His victory over sin and death.

I give thanks for each of our churches across the diocese, for your faithful worship, your service to your communities, and your steadfast witness to the Gospel. May this Easter season renew your hearts, strengthen your faith, and deepen your joy in the Lord.

Let us go forward together, rejoicing in the power of the Resurrection, and proclaiming with confidence the good news of Jesus Christ.

The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia!

With every blessing in Christ,

Bishop Primus

Press forward. Do not stop, do not linger in your journey, but strive for the mark set before you. Fight the good fight of faith, and God will give you spiritual mercies.

It is also our apostolic mission to enable all our people to develop into effective ambassadors of Christ in the Church and in the world.
