Is the Free Church of England a Home for you?
The Free Church of England has a long history of faithful Gospel witness of Word and Sacrament within a confidently Anglican identity. It is episcopal, liturgical, catholic and evangelical. It holds biblical views on male ministry and upholds biblical views on human relationships and sexuality. Its Orders are recognised by the Church of England.
There may be existing Clergy who discern a call to minister within the Free Church of England. Such people will have initial conversations with the relevant Bishop, who will guide them along the process of selection which includes submitting biographical information and references and interviews.
If the Bishop decides in favour, the candidate will then be supported through inculturation into the Denomination and exploring the possibilities for continuing their ministry.
Congregations can also explore whether the Free Church of England is right for them and can, for a time of discernment, become an Associate Congregation.
Your first point of contact is the General Secretary GenSec@fcofe.org.uk who will ensure that the appropriate Bishop receives your enquiry.
