The UK Government has ordered all places of worship to close. Bishop John and Bishop Paul therefore request all the UK Churches to comply with the order and suspend corporate worship services, small groups and all other church events. (Bishop Josep has issued separate advice for the South American Diocese.)
Those churches that are able to do so are encouraged to explore online digital communication and worship.

Pastoral Practices
If you are self-isolating, please let your Minister know, so that they are aware and can look after you.
If a person you are in contact with requires support during a period of quarantine this can be done in several ways. Home visits should be avoided, and you should consider alternative methods of support, such as telephone or video calls.
If a person is admitted to hospital with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, visiting will be restricted. In this instance you are advised to contact the Hospital Chaplaincy team who will liaise with the Infection Control Team on your behalf.
General Infection Prevention Precautions
Public Health England recommends that you should take usual infection prevention precautions including:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available. This is particularly important after taking public transport.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
If you feel unwell, stay at home, do not attend work or school.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in a bin.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in the home and work environment.
