New Tamil Service in Christ Church Harlesden
FCE continues moving forward, now reaching the Tamil people in London, as we serve the Lord, preach the gospel and make disciples of Christ.
The Revd Jabson Watson started the Tamil Service at Christ Church, Harlesden last Sunday. Also, a new work is starting in Croydon. The Diocesan Bishop of the Suthern Diocese, the Rt Rev Paul Hunt, is visiting this week-end the new work and church development. Pray for the new work to continue growing for God’s glory.
In 2012, it is estimated that the current population of British Sri Lankan Tamils numbers around 150,000 to 250,000. The UK has always had a strong, albeit small, population of Sri Lankan Tamils deriving from colonial era immigration between Sri Lanka and the UK, but a surge in emigration from Sri Lanka took place after 1983, as the civil war caused living conditions deteriorate and placed many inhabitants in danger.
Let us pray for this new mission field in England for God’s glory and the salvation of the Tamil people.
