We are delighted to announce that the Revd Jabson Watson is to take up the role of Minister to our Christ Church, Willesborough, congregation. Congratulations Jabson on this position.
Jabson is seeking a permanent stay in the UK after his student visa expires. This involves the Free Church of England becoming a registered sponsor with the Home Office and the Sponsorship application to the Home Office was successful in May. Bishop Paul Hunt and Jabson met recently to complete the next phase of Home Office registration.
The small Tamil Church that Jabson leads meets most weeks in the church of the FCG General Secretary, the Revd Paul Rochester, in Croydon. Jabson has also been an invaluable help to the Revd Robert Wilson during his time of convalescence. He has also assisted the Tamil Church in Harlesden and it is good to hear that his children play the organ when they are there. Their joint carol service was published online.
The congregation in Willesborough has not had a full-time minister for about 18 years. The church has, however, had a rich blessing of several visiting ministers over all these years. May the Lord bless Jabson and his family.
