Northern Clergy Conference and Synod

Mission and church-planting in the 21st Century

The Revd Dr Peter Sanlon, Vicar of St Mark’s, Tunbridge Wells, was the guest speaker at the March Clergy Conference of the Southern Diocese. Dr Sanlon has been much involved in recent attempts to defend orthodox, biblical teaching in the Church of England and sees many parallels between the present situation and that which led to the formation of the Free Church of England and Reformed Episcopal Church. At Synod Dr Sanlon shared suggestions for funding new congregations and stipends in partnerships between Churches.

The Free Church of England has a clear commitment to reach this generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the existing churches and planting new healthy churches that reach out to all people with the love and grace of the Lord.
