‘Light of the World’ – 2025 Highgate House Conference
For three days, ministers and members of our Southern Diocese churches gathered at Highgate House Conference Centre for a time of fun, fellowship, and learning around the theme “Light of the World.”
The programme explored a series of inspiring sessions, including:
The Light Revealed, Walking Out of Darkness, The Light That Heals, The Light That Guides, Children of Light, Shining the Light, Light for the Nations, and The Eternal Light.
Throughout the retreat, attendees enjoyed wonderful food, warm fellowship, and opportunities to grow together in faith. A particularly memorable session, led by Revd Eric Fenwick, encouraged everyone to use their imagination and creativity with LEGO blocks, a fun and engaging way to reflect on how we build and share the light of Christ.
One evening, participants also shared in heartfelt “Light-bulb moments”, personal stories of how God’s light has shone in their lives.
The retreat was a joyful and enriching experience, reminding us all of our calling to shine as lights for Christ in the world.
