Our Vacancies

The Trustees of Christ Church, Willesborough seek to appoint a Minister-in-Charge. Christ Church is a small yet enthusiastic Church with supportive congregation and forming part of the Free Church of England. It is committed to liturgical worship according to the 39 Articles of Religion and the Book of Common Prayer (revised 1785).

The Trustees are looking for a man of God who will faithfully and consistently maintain the evangelical and protestant doctrine of the Church, having also the ability to encourage growth and provide pastoral care. One service is held on Sunday and there is a weekly Bible Study/Prayer group. The Church is a member of Churches Together in Ashford.

The post could be regarded as part-time and be combined with other employment or might appeal to a recently retired C of E. Minister. A modest stipend is offered. A small church house nearby is available if desired.

Further information from Rt. Revd. Paul Hunt (Diocesan Bishop) 329 Wolverhampton Road West, Willenhall, Walsall, West Midlands, WV13 2RL. E-mail –

St George’s Church Blackburn, Lancaster

St George’s congregation has entered a new and exciting time in its 110 year history, as it looks for a minister to build on its strong foundation and lead an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated lay team. We believe St. George’s Church is at the heart of the community of Mill Hill, and is in a fantastic position to spread the word of God through new and innovative methods.

We are a congregation that isn’t afraid to try new things, an example being our popular Café Church services, led by a team of volunteers, which has more than doubled our congregation at that service. Our members have embraced our efforts:

There is currently one service each Sunday, at 10.30am. Once a month this is a service of Holy Communion (congregation circa 20-25) led by a visiting Minister. Our Family Service and Church Parade is held once a month (congregation circa 80 -100), Morning Prayer (congregation circa 20-30) and finally our lively Café Church (congregation circa 50-60).
