Financial Restructuring for Mission and Church Planting

Recent meetings (8th October) of the Finance Committee and Central Trust have focussed on overhauling the FCE’s financial structures to make evangelism, church planting, training, and clergy stipends priorities. These priorities were set by the discussion groups at Convocation earlier this year.  Money from investment income is being diverted to cover the costs of administration, travel, etc. to free up the income from the quotas for core Gospel work. The General Treasurer was able to report an increasingly healthy financial picture, which should enable funds to be allocated to new projects. The new budget structure is due to be presented to Convocation in 2020.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.

C. S. Lewis

Press forward. Do not stop, do not linger in your journey, but strive for the mark set before you. Fight the good fight of faith, and God will give you spiritual mercies.

It is also our apostolic mission to enable all our people to develop into effective ambassadors of Christ in the Church and in the world.

Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.
